Roger Korenberg grew up on a farm in northwest Iowa, earned a congressional appointment to the Air Force Academy, and flew combat missions in Vietnam — including classified special operations missions with Special Forces teams behind enemy lines. He earned three Distinguished Flying Crosses, a Purple Heart, and 7,500 hours of military flight time over a 30-year career.
After retiring, he and his wife Jerri chose Moniteau County as home. He worked as an environmental engineer for the State of Missouri until 2013. He knows this land, these communities, and these people — because he is one of them.
